trubey Posted August 24, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2005 Can we help each other in a thread about Cadiz. Has anyone been there and not done the ship excursion? I'd like to find out about the distance from the port to the center of the city, what we should/shouldn't miss, any suggestions on alternative travel (bus, taxi, etc). I'll be there in November (doing the Prinsendam transatlantic) but actually, anything you can offer that would be of use to another cruiser would be appreciated. susana. Please note that I've also started a thread just like this for Agadir. We have had pretty good success in the Europe board with these.
trubey Posted August 24, 2005 Author #2 Share Posted August 24, 2005 Please excuse my absolute dumbness, here. I meant this to be a thread about Casablanca, and then I wrote Cadiz. Woe is me. susana.
whm Posted September 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2005 Good Morning, We are on the other thread re the trans Atlantic sailing with you. Last year we did the ships tour of Casablanca and it was ok. Very much the tourist office canned tour. We have no plans for Casablanca this time, but we would be interested in any info that comes forth about different things to do here. Thanks, Walt
harbormaster Posted September 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2005 Hi we are on RSSC to Casablanca and Agadir in November. Can anyone tell me if you need a visa to Morocco if you go on your own? Would appreciate any help or advice on what to do in either place.
Donaldm Posted October 11, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2005 We are joining you on the Voyager to Casablanca and Agadir next month. The US State Dept says that visas are not required: "ENTRY/EXIT REQUIREMENTS: Travelers to Morocco must have a valid passport. Visas are not required for American tourists traveling to Morocco for fewer than 90 days." See you in a few weeks. -Don in Sacramento
