We just had a wonderful half day tour of Rome with Marco Tavola (http://www.marcorometours.com). We just arrived last night and only wanted about 4 hours since it was our first day. Marco picked us up at our hotel (Hotel Artemide - a fantastic hotel by the way) and we visited the Pantheon, Catacombs of St. Callixtus, Circus Maximus, Orange Gardens (spectacular view), the Colosseum, and Trevi Foutain. We are on Viking's private Vatican Museums tour oon our cruise so we did not ask him to include that. We could have added St. Peters Basilica to the tour if we wanted to start at 8:00 a.m. but that was too early for our first day. We highly recommend Marco!
