Port of Houston - Hotels

Sailing on 18/12/05 on NCL Sun from Houston - anyone stayed at the Passport

Inn & Suites in Kemah, Tx. Have heard both good and terrible remarks about this

hotel. Anyone have experience - good or bad?????

Not familiar with the hotel you mentioned. We have opted to stay closer to Hobby. I've reserved at Springhill Suites. They have a shuttle that will take you to the nearby restaurents/shopping areas. I'm still looking for transportastion to the port. Reading the boards and other info about Houston, it sounded like staying near the airport was the better choice for us. Have an awsome trip:) .

Near the airport sounds good but Kemah has a super boardwalk with many excellent

seafood and other restaurants and a ton of shops all on the Bay. We will rent a car at

the airport (Enterprise) and return it near the dock and Enterprise people will drive us

to the ship. Have a real good cruise..!!

Unfortunately, for those of us sailing on the Sun, we don't have that option any longer.... Enterprise is closed on Sunday, and will now be charging a full extra day rental (to Monday), PLUS the cost of parking that you must pay overnight.

Saturday departures are fine, Sunday are not.
