Howard Johnson-San Juan

Has anyone stayed at Howard Johnson in SJU?
Would like some feedback on this hotel for a 3 night stay prior to cruising. What is nearby?
If you had a choice, would you prefer to stay there or at Windchimes in San Juan?

We stayed @ HOJO'S in January, one night prior to our cruise. It was not bad, I would compare it to a old Days Inn or a Super 8. There is a Walgreens around the corner if you forgot something and a quaint restaurant/bar down the street about a half a block. The pool is very small w/only a few chairs. We got it on priceline for about $104.00 a night.
