San Juan Hotels...where to stay?

2 couples cruising on the Destiny in October. Looking for a recommendation for our pre-cruise night in San Juan. Hoping to use Priceline, but do not know enough about the area in regards to the airport and pier.
TIA!

Puerto Rico is not broken up into many zones. The only zone you want to select on priceline is "San Juan".

This will either put you around the airport, the Condado area, or Old San Juan... all of which should be fine.

We tried Priceline for July, no luck. We ended up booking El Convento through Expedia.com. It looks rather nice.
