LINANRIC Posted May 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2004 My Cousin and I are going on a Southern Cruise in Sept, we went Western last year, and she got hurt and did not get to swim with the Stingrays, and now she is wondering if they have them in the Southern route? Can someone answer that for her? I told her she could swim with the Turtles, but she said NO WAY.. TrqoisWtrs Posted May 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2004 There are excursions to Shark/Ray Alley from Belize, which I think is Western route. But its like the one in Cayman, lots of stringrays around the boat, and some nurse sharks. luv2cruise450 Posted May 22, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2004 Linda...would be able to help more if we knew your ports of calls on this particular southern route that you will be sailing. Depending on the cruise ship...what are considered 'southern' ports could overlap with other Caribbean regions. Happy sailing! luv2cruise450 Posted May 23, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2004 Linda...Sorry...but I am almost sure that for the ports of call that are on your itinerary...there are no facilities even remotely like Stingray city on Grand Cayman island. Maybe you could take a quick look at a Caribbean guide book and check. Since your cousin really wants to do this particular excursion...then you will simply have to plan another cruise for ports that will allow her to do so! Happy sailing!
