Conch shells

Does Grand Cayman sell the large conch shells - the kind that polynesians use to blow like a horn? Does anyone know if we're allowed to bring one back to the US? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure about GC, but got one on Jamaica. Yes, you can bring them back, but I had to remove from my carry on and put in my checked luggage. POinty tips could be used as a weapon.

Hmmm.....not going to Jamaica. Here are my ports: Key West, Cozumel, Grand Cayman. Does anyone know? Thanks for the packing tip!

Try posting the same message on the Cozumel ports of call and see if you get an answer there. Hopefully that will help.

You can buy conch shells in Key West.....it's known as the Conch Republic
