Hi - Has anyone stayed in this hotel in Downtown Vancouver? I got a smoking deal on Hotwire for next July - pre-cruise! Very excited! Am hoping it's a nice place. Also - does anyone know how far from the dock it is? Shuttles available? July can't come fast enough! :)

Both pre and post cruise. Not a bad place to stay, nothing fancy, but a fairly good location. We could walk to Robson Street easily, also just a short walk down the street to a water taxi to go to Granville Island. Taxis were plentiful, cost was around $7 CAD to get to and from Canada Place, not including tip.

Continental breakfast was served every morning, a definite cost saver for our family of 4. They had a nice patio as well as inside tables, typical breakfast fare, cereal, toast, fruit and I think I remember scrambled eggs and pancakes. There was an indoor pool and spa, so be sure to pack your bathing suits. We used the laundry room a couple of times, 2 washers and 4 dryers, you could purchase laundry aids there.

Staff was very friendly and accomodating. We were travelling with a group of 15 family and friends and used their bar and restaurant a few times, the food was OK, martinis were great.

Thanks for the info! So glad to hear it's in a convenient location! Any suggestions of what to do pre-cruise? We get in Friday morning, and the ship leaves Sat. afternoon - so we have lots of time to snoop around! Did you enjoy Granville Island?

Thanks again - Pam

Granville Island is a great place to visit, especially during the day. You may want to check out Robson Street for dinner, we had lunch at a great place, Joe Forte at Robson and Thurlow, a little pricey, but the best food we had all week (including the cruise ship).

We took a city tour the morning of our cruise, sorry don't have the name, someone else booked it. The tour van picked us up, along with our luggage, we toured the city and the van dropped us and our luggage off at the cruise terminal. You will love Vancouver, we are thinking of doing a long weekend there.
