buggystuff Posted September 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2009 I booked on the Carnival Valor, partly because I'd heared there was also a singles group, and, through said group, it was a bit higher priced, which wasn't so much a problem, BUT, they wouldn't honor the voucher I had from Carnival Another CC'r told me I wouldn't be able to play in any of the reindeer games but we are all on the same ship, so... Anyone else had experience with sailing with a direct booking while a "singles group" is on board? G Brad

G Brad I think when there is a singles group onboard it is sponsored by some group/club or travel agency and they set up activities just for that group, therefore the higher price. There could be other singles onboard on their own. Different cruise lines have their own socials for singles, sometimes a mixer or a singles and solos lunch.
