Question about upgrading/changing room

My husband and I have booked a SV on the Mercury for Alaska in the summer. The price of the room has gone up $200 per person since we booked. The price of a CC room is now slightly cheaper than the price of a SV is now. If we switched to a CC would there be any additional charge? My husband really wants an aft cabin, would it be worth it to switch?

There are no charges to switch - but you do want to be ready before you call and know what exact room you want. Pretend to do a new booking and check what is available.

You can upgrade through the site as well, but it's not as user-friendly - only some rooms and categories are shown.
