Playa Azul anyone?

There are two parts to the Playa Azul beach, located in the northern hotel zone. There's the public part, with really uncomfortable hard plastic S-shaped lounge chairs. That's free although you will be expected to purchase food and drink. Then there's the hotel. Due to the number of people camping out on their beach, they now charge a $5 entry fee and offer a $5 credit on food and beverage. The beach is very small but lovely. No beach toys.

We actually stayed at this hotel a few years back for 2 beautiful weeks and returned on a cruise stop last year, it is a beautiful (small ) beach, very quiet, good food though. We are considering going back there on pur April cruise, if the 5. gets you a lounge then it is worth it.
