Anyone tell me about the Mardi Gras slot tournament

I saw it on the website. Can you win money or do you just pay $20 and go drink free cheap champagne afterwords. Hard to find much info on the casinos...especially Dream.

On the Fantasy, the prize was $500 cash. I didn't win. DH and I each paid $20 to enter; we figured we had a better chance with the tournament than on the slot machines, which were lousy. Can't tell you anything about the cheap champagne, but they do give you cheap beads.

My MDR tablemate talked me into entering the slot tournament on my last cruise ... we both made the finals ... I only entered once. Didn't win, but got a free key chain and a bracelet ... but I did have a blast!!!!

Is this on all the ships or just certain ones?

The slot tourney has been on all the cruises that I've been on. It looks fun. There were 10-12 people in the last one that I watched but I never saw any free champagne.
