alynn Posted June 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2010 The weather temp is usually the same all year round about 80 degrees F but the humidity rises drastically in the summer months. In November its quite pleasant and not too humid The beginning of November is right at the very end of the hurricane season so this shouldnt be an issue, although we cruised at the beginning of November a few years ago and had one rough night when we sailed through a force 10 gale en route from St Maarten to Nassau. Every other day was fine with calm seas, There may be an occasional heavy shower in the afternoon. They dont last long and things dry up as quickly as they get wet. but take a light waterproof with you in case you are caught out on shore. Dont know if P & O do it but on celebrity every stateroom had an umberella for guests to use Have a great time
LACEY2011 Posted June 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2010 We were in the Carribean last November, I would say 90% of the time the weather was fantastic, a few showers on an afternoon on sea days but we always had lovely weather on the islands and it was very hot! the only downside was in Tortola, we got there the day after heavy rain had hit and Cane Garden Bay resembled the North sea! shame as it was a lovely island. lake5298 Posted June 17, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2010 We've been to the Caribbean on several Novembers and always found the weather pleasant - less humid than March/April and generally calm seas. It's also about the cheapest time of year, so it's win = win!
sammydo Posted June 18, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 18, 2010 we have been once in beginning of november, and once beginning of february, and we have now booked our 3rd carribbean cruise for mid november (2011). We found the seas alot warmer in november, and also slightly calmer. We had 2 bouts of rain in november, and 2 or 3 in february, so not sure there really is a lot of difference. think its just the luck of the draw where the rain is concerned, or liquid sunshine, as the locals call it, but it never really hangs about for long.
