recent cruiser do the go with gus tour in guatamala?

We will be on the Sun soon and would like to do the go with gus tour because of all of the good things I have read about his humanitarian tour. However, I am a little hesitatant, because it took so long for him to answer my email, and then when I tried to call the web obtained phone number for their Georgia USA office, the number was disconected. The tour is double the cost of the Rio Duce tour offered by NCL. Can anyone tell me if they have done that tour this season and if it is worth the extra cost? I don't want to mail in a deposit and than lose it, and I don't want to miss out on the NCL trip than discover Gus isn't there for us. But I would love to visit a jungle school and do the tour with a small group.
