my2mickeykids Posted February 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2011 We will be in Cabo on Easter Sunday. Any idea for what we can expect for crowds, places being closed etc? Thank you!
Lvs2Cruise2 Posted February 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2011 Hi... We also will be in Mexico for Easter. I had posted something a while back.. can't find it.. but someone replied that Easter is a VERY Holy and Religious week in Mexico. I found this article.. Hope it helps. We will be departing Acapulco on Easter so hopefully we won't be encountering too many crowds! Enjoy your cruise! http://gomexico.about.com/od/festivalsholidays/p/holy_week.htm
househunter Posted February 11, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2011 I will be in Cabo for 2 weeks over Easter as we usually are. Spring Break will be long over but many of the Mexican people have Easter week off so you will see lots more Mexican familes vacationing then. It will be a bit busier than usual but not by much and only noticable during the day at Medano Beach. Have fun!

When we cruised there in 2008 it was Good Friday and I remember the taxi's would not drive you to the beach from the cruise terminal. Part of our group walked to the beach about 30 minute walk. There were taxi that would take you from the beach back.

I have never experienced that on any holiday and I have been going to Cabo since 1994! There is no "cruise terminal", Cabo is a tender port. Maybe you were thinking about somewhere else? You can easily grab a regular taxi or a water taxi right next to the tender dock.

When we got off the tenders-so sorry I used the term "cruise terminal". I know exactly where I was and that the taxi would not take you to the beach!~!!!!!!!!!!!!! You could only get a ride from the beach.
