FLABCruiser Posted April 6, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2011 We were on the Legend - March 19 to March 26 - Shanghai to Asia. Our trip was changed due to the Japan earthquake. It was our first on RCCL and we enjoyed most of it. Due to a very low passenger count, we felt the some food was the no their best. They had prepared too much for the only 9 tables that were occupied and as an example steaks were not sizzling hot and salads could have stayed a little closer to the cooler. This ship was built in 1995 and we liked the retro chrome and glass look - I took it as a 60's car. It is relatively small and you will quickly get to know the crew and all the ship has to offer. As this ship does much work in China, you may find less southern Asian staff. Explorations desk screwed up on a time zone change which cancelled an hour out our 4 hour tour. Overall - I would say Norwegian does a slightly better job and we still believe RCCL sister company Celebrity is the best. Enjoy!
Perth cruizing Posted April 7, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted April 7, 2011 Any info on Legend of the Seas would love some feed back first time cruising on the Legend :-) have sailed on Rhasposdy last year love it ,Just want some positive feed back please Michelle & Carlo :p FLABCruiser thank you for your words as this time round we are taking the in-laws as the last time they cruised they went on the Paciffic Sun and they were very dissapointed in that ship that ship was old and smelly so i am guessing they will love this ship as we sailed on the Rhaposdy last year and very much enjoyed it and the ship it self is only a little bigger than Legend of the Seas .... As we are from Perth Australia there is not many ships leaving from Fremantle only one that goes to Esperance down south and for the same price we get to Fly to Singapore and take a cruise as well :-) and @ Christmas time you only have the South Paciffic and Newzeland which we have done and they leave from the Eastern States so we thought it will be nice to do one out of Singapore but not to much available over the Christmas break as this it the only time we get off but thank you once again
