I was reading the Carnival FAQs about cell service at sea and it said something about a Cruise Ship Passport package reduced rate bundle for AT&T customers for a limitel time.

 

Does anyone know anything about this package? i.e. pricing?

 

We are cruising next week and I'm trying to find the most affordable way to stay in touch with the in-laws who will be watching our daughter..

It's a package offered by AT&T. The price is $35 and provides 15 minutes of talk and 15 text messages...

We are going out of Galveston on the 20th and I e-mailed ATT last month and got the particulars on the "Special Rate". I cannot find my e-mail back from them but it was pretty expensive but not so bad that if you check in once a day and then put your device back on "Airline" mode.
