Ubermann Posted April 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2005 The Atlantica will be undergoing a major overhaul during the next few months. Does anyone have any idea what happens to the crew and staff of a ship undergoing overhaul? Are they assigned together to another ship? Are they distributed throughout the rest of the fleet? Or do they get a lot if time off? We just loved the staff and crew during our WC cruise last month and we'd love to sail with them again next year. jeb9860 Posted April 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2005 We too loved the staff on The Atlantica, maybe if they want to do another session - they'll come back with the Magica. I know it's a personal choise as to where they want to go. We did a back to back in December and met a great English guy and he said he would finish in April. GreenDay27 Posted April 5, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2005 we asked our waiter,Edwin, about what happens to them after the season is up and he said that the crew signs an 8 month contract...which means they are on the boat 8 months straight, then they get 2 months off then they get called to the ship again, but sometimes they go to another ship depending on how well they are at their job. but they do get time at ports of call. our assistant waiter, Ian, said he went to senor frogs and got drunk when we were in san juan, he wanted us to go too...they were both so funny.
