Speed Boat to Saona Island in LaRomana, DR

Has anyone done the Speed Boat to Saona Island in LaRomana, DR? We are going on a cruise in October on Freedom and looking at this in the Dominican Republic.

 

We would probably book it through Carnival so there won't be any issues with being back to port on time.

 

Is it worth the money or is there something better to do in LaRomana?

 

Also, how rough is the speed boat ride? Does it throw you or bounce you around quite a bit?
