How early can we check in our luggage in SF

We are sitting in our hotel room in SF all ready to head to the pier, just wondering if anyone knows how early we can check on our luggage even if we can't board yet?

The last two years I've dropped off my luggage between 9:30 and 10:00.

I am on the East Coast so it is appx. 10am there. You can head to the dock when you want and give your luggage to the longshoremen and get in line to sit in the waiting area until boarding time. You will next see your luggage in your room late afternoon.:):)

Hopefully by now, the OP has left their hotel room and handed off their luggage to the porters.

Awesome , thank you everyone! We are happily on board the Grand Princess. We arrived at the pier about 11:00 and boarded by noon.
