Transfer deposit Celebrity to Royal Caribbean?

last time on Celebrity we made a deposit on a Celebrity cruise that we will not be able to,use. Can this deposit be transferred to a Royal Caribbean cruise? Thanks.

It's usually allowed, however is it not possible to cancel the Celebrity cruise for a full refund?

Yes it can be done. I've done it before. The OP doesn't want to lose the OBC for booking the reservation on board.

My wife and I booked a Celebrity Cruise on the Reflection for June 2015 while onboard the Summit. Wanted to transfer to RCL Independence April 2015. Told they could only cancel my booking and refunded the deposit. This cancelation was not done on board, but after we returned home

When we did a future cruise booking while on Explorer in April we were told that it could be transferred to Celebrity. This statement came from the Loyalty Am. When I asked the assistant the same question he said "no" until I told him his boss had said "Yes". As usual it all depends on who you speak with.:confused:
