arthurfowler Posted August 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2014 We are planning on doing our first P&O cruise next year on Aurora. Looking at a balcony midships and wondering about the difference. Looks like the C deck has more openness when looking out, but I can't work out whether there is a roof (i.e.if it sticks out further than the deck above). Anyone help? rooftop Posted August 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2014 C deck balconies are framed by metalwork - the opening is about 5ft wide. B deck balconies are not framed by metalwork. Neither is obstructed by the deck above protruding further out. If wall to wall sun is what you're after then B deck is probably the better bet, although isn't B deck "deluxe" balcony grade - you'll be paying more for the privilege. rooftop Posted August 10, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2014 This image is of balconies on A and B deck, but C looks the same as A http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00437/aurora-cabins_437132c.jpg

tom_uk Posted August 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Have a look here for a long discussion regarding the size and openness aspects of the different decks' balconies on Azura and Ventura.

Thanks Tom, but don't think there is much to help there with the choice on Aurora. They look to be very different.
tom_uk Posted August 11, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Err - absolutely right. What a mistake to make! - I saw Aurura and read Azura. My apologies.....
