Question for longtime Galveston cruisers

Say circa 2003 plus. Who remembers the piano playing/comedian from Rhapsody

I Just can't think of his name. Heck I'm not even sure what bar he played in. I'm thinking Schooner I think his shtick was Kamikaze Karaoke, geared towards Texans of course. Anyway. Just wondering if anyone knew if he was still around.

Possibly Derek Lewis, of Adult Day Care fame?

 

Last I heard, he went to Celebrity because Royal would not give him a non-smoking venue.

Oh. Yes. His name was Derek. Not sure about Lewis. But yes, Adult Day Care would make sense. That's too bad. Really enjoyed him. Thanks for the info.

For years on Rhapsody, we were there anytime the Rosario Strings were

playing. They were truly awesome, but I guess they became too expensive, and ended up in on RC's cost-cutting list.

I remember Derek Lewis from Rhapsody in 2007. My husband and I were at adult day care every night. I still sing the wrong (Derek) lyrics to "Take It Easy" sometimes. :o

 

I was thinking about Derek a couple weeks ago. Hubby and I did our first cruise from Galveston since the 2007 Rhapsody cruise. Navigator had JR Neal on piano in the Schooner Bar for sing-alongs, but it just wasn't the same. :(
