cruisesusie Posted September 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2005 We'll be in Seattle for a few days pre-cruise next September. We would like to be convenient to the pier if possible. Does anyone know the location of the pier? From what I've read it seems the Downstown area is the best place to stay for the sites. Any opinions would be appreciated. trcori Posted September 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2005 where the pier is, depends on which line you're sailing. Celebrity and NCL use Pier 66, a very nice location in the heart of the waterfront area. Marriott Waterfront & the Edgewater are hotels just steps away. Princess, HAL, and (starting next year) Royal Caribbean use Terminal 30 at the other end of the waterfront, industrial, NOT within walking distance to much of anything except ... maybe ... our sports stadiums. momthecruisedirector Posted September 22, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2005 Staying in the heart of downtown is fun - the Seattle Hilton, Sheraton.... or I've been reading good things about staying on Lake Union. I'm a local and have stayed at the Hilton in December for xmas light looking and shopping.
cruisesusie Posted September 22, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted September 22, 2005 Thanks for the replies. We're sailing on Princess. I assume we can take a cab from the Downtown area to Terminal 30? Thanks, Susan
momthecruisedirector Posted September 22, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 22, 2005 Yes you can. Gosh, there were posts early summer from Host Caroline in the Princess section about where she stayed and the free shuttles the hotel offered to various tourist places and I believe to the ship. I would look her up and get some info from her. Enjoy your stay!
