QM2 - 250th crossing

Cunard would likely have fireworks, complementary sail-away Champagne, and possibly a "sail by" the Statute of Liberty.

Carnival would likely try to sell you the Champagne, send the staff around trying to sell other 175th year - 250th crossing souvenirs, and look for any other possible revenue enhancing opportunity.

It will be interesting to see which prevails.

I note that next month, QM2 will make her 250th crossing.

Will there be any special events on ship or on sailaway?

This 8 night crossing is listed on the Cunard webpage 'cruise deals' ...$599 per person Inside - details here: http://www.cunard.com/cruise-deals/special-offers/transatlantic-crossings/

As fares are reduced, so are expenses.
