Verizon and ships internet package

Recommended Posts

Sailing on Liberty of the Seas in February. Does anyone know if I have the Verizon Cruise package with limited data, etc. do I need to purchase the internet from the ship also?

If you have a Verizon package that gives you cellular data at sea, and you know you won't exceed the amount of data included in that package, then you don't need the ship's internet.

Thank you for that info, it is so confusing to me. So if I paid for the ships internet then I don't need verizon, correct?

If you are looking for email and web surfing, then all you need is the ship's internet.

Do you know if you can actually get a signal while on the ship with the Verizon Package?

Yes, the ship has a cell tower that is turned on whenever the ship is at sea. It relays the cell signal to a satellite.
