As I've get older I find I enjoy gambling less and less. I do still enjoy video poker though and was wondering if the casino bar on the Star has video poker machines in the bar. Any recent Star passengers who can answer? Thanks.

Yes they do...they have them right on the bar and also several machines sprinkled throughout the casino!

Thanks. Now if I can just figure out how to avoid the smoke . . . . . .

My wife and I are non(ex)-smokers and we did not find the smoke in the Star's casino particularly bothersome. The bar is right next to an entrance, by the way.

That's funny. We got back from our cruise two weeks ago and I can tell you that the casino bar was a very popular place for smokers to congregate. I couldn't sit and play video poker at the bar - couldn't stand the intense tobacco stench. Nothing worse than a reformed smoker . . . . . . .

I just spent 2 weeks on the Star. The Casino was the indoor Smoking Area.

Many people I spoke with avoided even walking through it. Because of the smoke the dealers sat there alone with no players. NCL should join Celebrity with smoke free casinos. Other than the disgusting casino, the NCL Star was a great ship. I had a wonderful time.

Been living in Europe all over for past 60 years never heard one complaint about smoke smells but Americans waste time bitching about smoke everywhere in America and wherever American Conjugate

I'm sorry if my dislike of cigarette smoke somehow offended your European sensibilities. I didn't feel I was "bitching" about anything, as I'm generally not a complainer. I thought this board was for sharing information, which I was doing. Have a nice day.

Maybe because Europe is non-smoking within ten (?) yards of any building. Of course like most EU laws, the French ignore it.
