great tour of Cape Canaveral lighthouse

There is a tour that takes people out from the port to the lighthouse and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It is the only way to get out to this steel lighthouse. Those of you that are lighthouse buffs, bring your lighthouse passport (or buy one there:)) and get an extremely rare stamp. You also see the original launch pads from the Mercury flights and the launch pad where they lost the crew of Apollo 1. Admission to the Expedition Tower and a space museum is included. The tour only goes out on Friday and Saturday morning and must be booked in advance because you need to be cleared to enter the base.
