Whale watching in Dominica

Hello,

 

I'm wondering if anyone has taken the whale watching excursion offered by NCL in Dominica? Wondering if it was a decent size boat, within walking distance of the pier, friendly informative crew? We've taken a ship sponsored tour before with HAL and it was an excellent tour. We are sailing on the Breakaway the end of January.

Yes, my husband and I were on the Breakaway in February and took the whale watching excursion in Dominica (booked with NCL). Highly recommend! We saw many whales...and some dolphins too! The crew of the boat was very knowledgeable. At the end of the tour they coasted along the shore line and pointed out places of interest with a little history thrown in.

 

Hint: If you can, sit outside towards the front of the boat. You won't see much sitting inside.

 

One of the best excursions we have booked through a cruise line.
