Hi booked this hotel for our night before cruise.

We are flying in to FLL and sailing from POM.

This is our first cruise and first time in this area of Florida.

Anyone stay here before? Are there things to do or restaurants in walking distance?

This is where we are staying for our cruise next week. What are you using to get to POM ?

SAS doesn't service this hotel and Hampton gave us number of who they use - $85 for 3 of us to go to POM . Seems high ???

No, for a taxi or private car that is the going rate. You should consider renting a car (Enterprise, Alamo, National or Thrifty), dropping at MIA and taking the free shuttle to the POM.

Otherwise, check with the following...

Since you aren't going out of Port Everglades then you should check the rates at both of the two La Quinta Inns in Plantation. They are very nice and the one behind the Hampton Inn on 6th was recently remodeled, while the one on Peters Road is very upscale as well. They should be considerably less expensive than the Hampton Inn. Neither of them have airport shuttles, but you should save more than what Uber will cost to get there.

The location on Peters Road is closer to Bokamper's sports bar and Publix, but still walking distance to plenty of other restaurants.
