Soda Package and On Board Credit?

First time RCCL cruiser. We are getting on board credit from our travel agent. I would like to use that to pay for our drink and soda packages (we usually don't spend much on board otherwise). Can we purchase that after we get on the ship? If so, how do we get the soda cups, as I heard they're usually in your room when you arrive.

 

Also, does anyone know of any restrictions on what you can spend "non-RCCL" on board credit on? Can it be used as a deposit on a future cruise?

Go to any bar or any of the many tables that will be set up selling packages. Look for a table covered with the special soda cups. You can use OBC for anything you can use your SetSail pass for. Unfortunately, that does not include future cruises.

On board credits can be used toward anything usually that posts to your shipboard account including gratuities, so unless the amount of credit is abnormally high, it is unlikely that you would still have a credit balance on your account after gratuities have been applied per person onto your account.
