varwigs4disney Posted January 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2018 Hello all! We're going to Alaska on the ruby princess the end of April. Since our last cruise with princess they changed the excursion requirement - where they need to be prepaid. We are getting a hefty amount of on board credit? I really don't want to book our excursions ahead of time and not be able to use the credit that isn't showing in our account yet. However this being our first Alaska adventure, I also don't want to miss out on excursions. Whats your experience booking on board on embarkation? GJCruiser Posted January 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2018 If your OBC is from Princess it is currently shown in your Personlizer. When you reserve your excursions you can apply the OBC now to your shopping cart and will only pay for the excursion cost above what is in your OBC account. If you are getting OBC from a TA - that is refundable and may not be showing in your account until you board the ship.
easyboy Posted January 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2018 We arrange our shore excursion onboard on 2nd day at the latest. Very seldom did we fail to get a reservation. The worst was being waitlisted but finally got it. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
