Tender time / Excursion time

We booked a santorini excursion mainly to get us off the ship quick and easy. Our Port time is 1-10 but our excursion start time is 230. Does that sound right?

Might we be better served to cancel and take our chances for an earlier tender and then do our own thing with water taxis and taxis?

At the airport now and cruise leaves Sunday. Thank you.
