Vancouver sky train to Metropolitan Hotel

Flying in Sunday to Vancouver, plan on taking sky train to get near Metropolitan hotel, wondering if a local could advise the closest stop for that location??     Also, is it a feasible walk to Canada Place with one piece of luggage or better to take a cab from that hotel the next day??

Vancouver City Centre would be the closest stop (very close - barely 200 yards), and since I have no idea how large/heavy/awkward your luggage is I will just inform you that walking to Canada Place involves a straight shot down Howe Street from your hotel about 650 yards. If you don't need a trolley at the airport for your luggage, you can probably manage - and unless there's a cab outside the hotel waiting, it would probably be faster to walk than to wait for one to come!

Also to add:  It's a level, then slightly downhill walk to Canada Place. I'd just walk it especially if the weather is at all decent.
