I agree 100% with SargassoPirate that one can be alone on a cruise but not lonely. I travel solo a lot and have always had a great time. Chatting with fellow passengers and getting to know the "regulars" at my favorite places is great, but if I can do what I want when I want. I usually decide what I am going to do just before I do it. I'm not on vacation to plan or keep a schedule! FYI I am a slightly older than middle aged widowed female.
