armyfam Posted August 31, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2023 Hello All! Arrival time on WindStar's website states 9 am. I am trying to figure out if booking an excursion hoping for an 8am tender is even possible... (the tour operator seems to think it may even be possible to get on one at 7:45am!) Any thoughts/experiences are welcome. Thank you!
Rare makai 7 Posted September 1, 2023 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2023 I don’t think so. They set up for tenders after arrival and anchoring is completed, and we did not arrive “early “ on either of our two stops at Bora Bora.

flygod Posted September 4, 2023 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2023 Our current trip was disrupted by the weather. We arrived at Bora Bora the night before from Tahaa at 10pm. First tenders at 8.00 the next morning and the following one - today!
armyfam Posted September 6, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted September 6, 2023 I guess it is fairly unpredictable then. Enjoy your "extra" time in Bora Bora @flygod! We can hardly wait!

flygod Posted September 13, 2023 #7 Share Posted September 13, 2023 Nope! Missed Rangiroa due to high winds - and a broken engine. So we couldn't get through the pass safely! Then we headed straight for Raiatea so we could dock on the quayside because of high winds: so the Riatea and Tahaa days were swapped over, then the deck BBQ last night was postponed to tonight! Forecast really isn't really all that great for the rest of the week! One poor week was OK, but two and half is dreadful luck.
6986 Posted September 14, 2023 #8 Share Posted September 14, 2023 I’m so sorry to hear about the weather. Fingers crossed that the forecasts are not accurate and the weather improves.
