Help- trying to find best way from Victoria Island to Vancouver

There is alot of conflicting info online. We will have luggage and will be going from the Emprass hotel in Victoria to Vancouver. Has anyone done this? I can find a bus/ferry connector but it's not clear where they will take you to In Vancouver. Thanks for any help.
