karadsheh Posted April 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2006 HI, I just have a quick question. I know that they have buy in poker tournaments on the Valor, and I was just wondering how lenient they are when it comes to age...Now i know you have to be 18, however I was just wondering if they check for the persons sea pass or photo id. My son is 17 years old and nearly 18 and really wants to gamble. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

glr068 Posted April 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2006 I've seen kids in the casino and not be checked and then I've seen them checked. So it's a crapshoot.....:D rather he gets checked or not. If he's playing poker and winning, someone may say something. I've seen kids come in the door and hit the slot machines closest to the door and never have anything said to them. How close is he to 18? If he's like most 18 year olds these days, he probably looks in his twenties. Good luck on your cruise and either way, I hope your son has a great time. caribbean dreams Posted April 14, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2006 I saw a kid win at Caribbean stud and they checked his age before he was payed his winnings, it just happened to be his 18th b-day. And not to be rude or anything but it goes back to the same old argument, why are we teaching our children it's ok to bend the rules.
