DCL Weddings, anyone??

I'd love to be married at sea- I understand the only Cruise Lines that do this are Princess and Disney.

 

I've seen lots of posts from the "Princess Brides". (Very lovely, I might add!)

 

However, I can't find anything from any DCL brides.

 

Anyone out there married aboard the Magic or the Wonder?

I was married on Disney's island Castaway Cay. Did you have specific questions?

I'm basically looking to see how "the experience" was.

 

Browsing through these threads, it appears that some of the cruise weddings have been quite the nightmare, although I find it very hard to believe that anything Disney would be anything less than perfect.

 

Where do I begin...

 

How were the people to work with?

Were your expectations met?

How many guests did you have?

Were there problems? How were they fixed?

Disney was a dream to work with. I think the weddings are much smaller so I imagine that's part of it. You can choose to be married on the ship or at their island. There is only 1 wedding on the island per cruise but there can be multiple ones on the ship. I think I decided bouquet, cake flavor and music. That was it. Their fee includes the licenses (FL & Bahamas), the ceremony, officiant, keyboardist, bouquet, boutineer, gift, reception with cake and bubbly in a private room (Paolo).

 

We had 17 guests with us. And absolutely no isses.
