Sovereign of the Seas questions?

Hi

 

Sailing on Sovereign of the Seas next week 10/9 4 day cruise . Does anyone know are they still having trouble with jellyfish on coco cay? also do they serve lobster on the 4 day cruises.

We sailed on the Sovereign on 9/4, and we did not get into the water at CocoCay because of the jellyfish. We heard of several people getting stung, so we chose the cautious route.

 

No lobster, but they did have lobster bisque as an appetizer one evening. I HIGHLY recommend going to the dining room every night. What an experience! We tried almost every dish, literally. One night, we asked for every dessert! :rolleyes:

Was on the Mariner 9/17 and I also didn't go in the water at CocoCay b/c of the jellyfish. I hear it's common in September, and I'm not sure by what point it clears up...

Wow! I had no idea this was a problem! I thought Coco Cay was PERFECT!! :) Glad I went in Feb....

Cannot help about the jellyfish but can on the lobster. RCCL does NOT serve lobster on any 3 or 4 day cruises, only 5 day and above.

Got got back from Sovereign on Monday. Yes there are still jelly fish there! A friend was stung on the arm by one. :(

 

And no, sadly, no lobster.

How was it? We are SOOO ready to go back! Sovereign was our first cruise, so we'll always be partial to her.
