Booking NCL Honolulu Excursions on Disembarkation Day

I booked my shore excursions in advance but NCL wouldn't allow me to book a Honolulu excursion on disembarkation day. I was told it is NCL's policy not to book these until you are on the ship because everyone has different flight times, etc. Anybody ever hear this before? I thought it was strange.

Princess and Holland America have done this same thing. Flights change at the last minute and they just want to make sure you dont miss your flights. Sometimes, they'll even ask to see your updated flight itinerary for proof. We'll be in the same position in June next year.

Yes, this is true. We had to sign up for the Honolulu disembarkment tours on the the ship. It has something also to do with "security". We even had NCL flights home. Hope this helps.:p
