Satellite TV on Costa Magica-Superbowl

I was on Costa Meditterania last december and as far as TV was concerned, I thought I was in my own home. I have a C-Band satellite dish at home and they had the same stations on the ship that I get at home. There was WNBC (NBC) from New York, WSEE (CBS) from Erie, Pa., WABC (ABC) from New York, as well as WPIX from New York, also ESPN, TNT, TBS,USA, etc. etc. Now that was a year ago, so maybe some of that has changed. However, I would feel pretty certain that they will carry the Superbowl someplace. When you get on the ship, ask them, and I can almost assure you that they will be able to get it if they want to. Good Luck!!!! ;)

You can order "NFL SUNDAY" from DISH TV. Bring your own dish, it fits in most large suitcases. Try for an outside cabin so you don't have to string coax down the hall and up the elevator shaft. Should be a good game this year, although Denver is out of the running it looks like.

har har. funny post. :p

better hope your cabin faces south constantly.

in actuality dish and other US tv providers point their geosyncronious sattalites at the continental united states to maximize transmission foot print and minimize req'd power. much like sattalite radio, it probably won't work when out at sea.

the ships sattalite tv is obveously aimed differently
