Getting ready to book our cruise for May. I am looking at 1062 on the panorama deck. Anybody know anything about this room? What is across the hall in the blank white area? Thanks in advance for the help.

I think someone has already mentioned this cabin...its forward, and if you check back a few post, they said other than a suite, this was the best cabin they had ever had..I will be in 1051 which is near by...Im hoping its as good! Dot

Steve: We were in 1062, Panorama deck....balcony cabin, and LOVED it! People were constantly telling us how much more motion we would notice, I'm still waiting and the cruise was 10 months ago! Other than a suite it was the best cabin we've ever had. I'm considering changing our 8A guarantee to 8E, for our next cruise, if a comprable cabin is still available...eventhough I know it will be a much more costly situation.

It's also a very quiet level.

should be a good cabin...

We are rapidly approaching our cruise date and I have started practicing my gambling skills online.

Can anyone tell me what table games they are currently running in the Casino on Conquest?

I usually only play 3 Card and Caribbean Stud but am interested in branching out a little and want to know what I should practice.

Thanks in advance for the info.

You can buy the tracfone at Walmart and then buy the minutes you need.Go to www.tracfone.com and it will give you an over view and you can check it out. Dot

I've researched this all day and just got off the phone with the tracfone people and they said they do not service the Caribbean area and if you try to use their phone it will automatically deactivate. Ok, so what cell phone company services that area on the Conquest cruise? We leave next weekend so this is VERY IMPORTANT.

Thanks:)

I have 1052 on a March cruise. I can give you details and take a pic if you remind me before I go! Judging by the deck plans, you have a balcony (mine is an IS) and the location should be quiet, but near fun.

My parents will be staying in that cabin when we go in August. Do you have any pictures of the cabin?

Sometimes the blank white area across from rooms can be storage or maintenance closets. We learned this from this thread last year and changed rooms--our original room assignment turned out to have the storage area that the stewards used all day and sometimes at night. We now prefer to have other rooms across from us.

I agree! We were across from one of these storage areas once, and they banged and TALKED LOUD all night long!! It was horrible...I even went out one night and asked them if they could please be a little more quiet..and they didnt seem that happy to oblige...there day is my night,so it didnt seem out of the ordinary to them to be laughing and talking loudly :)

Family (DH, DD7 and me) did this last year. DH and I loved it, but then he got me "hung" by the pirates. It's a cute excursion, my DD wasn't so sure, but she participated. We are booked again for March and DD is excited to do this excursion again with her cousins.

It could get too much for little toddlers--the "pirates" speak very loudly (AKA yell!) the whole time.

Hi. How do you already have a specific cabin assignment for August? We are sailing on 08/03 and it just says "TBA" for our cabin number.

What kind of tea do they have on the ship is it fresh brewed or that instant crap or even worse that fountian stuff:eek:

Im a big ice tea drinker. And, the brewed kind, no instant for me! And, Ive not been on the Conquest yet, but will let you know soon! My expierence has not been that good on cruise ships as far as getting ice tea goes. But, out of all the ships Ive been on my best expierence was on a Carnival ship,so Im hoping the Conquest will follow suit..I always make it a point to tell my waiter in the dining room that I LOVE ice tea, and that I want it all thru my meal. I dont drink coffee,so I even want it with dessert. Once, they would always forget, and then they would try to make some, dont know what they were using..but it was always SO strong. So, I would get them to bring me another glass with ice in it and I would use that along with my dinner water to make some drinkable tea. I know, Im bad.:) I also like lemon, and once they said they ran out of lemon for the whole trip..the only time you saw lemon was a litle piece of someones fish..so, I told them to bring me some lemonade, and I used that..tbc.. If you have a guarantee, you might not know now..but some ppl pick there own cabin.. I dont like surprises usually,so I pick my cabins. Although on this cruise, I picked the catagory, and then got an upgrade. Im still not sure about it

Small world isn't it? We're driving to Galveston also. Looking forward to the road trip! We're actually getting a vacation without any kids! Is this your first time on the Conquest? I've sailed her once before, but it will be my husband's first time. We sailed the Valor out of Miami last May. Cruising is the only way to go!!

The Conquest is a BEAUTIFUL ship and this itinerary is alot of fun! I hope you and yours have a wonderful trip!

I took my first cruise in 2001 and there is nothing more exciting than planning the first one! However, this will be my seventh cruise and I am still pretty excited! Cruise Critic has been THE BEST tool I have ever found to get you ready to go. All the information you could ever need can be found in these pages. I just try to keep my head down as it seems quite easy to offend some people. When I went on my first cruise, I was so prepared it made everything so simple. No nasty little suprises in a foreign place....:) I felt like a pro before we ever set sail!! If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask me, I'll share what info I have! Happy sailing!

Wow! A 9A wrap on your first cruise! You will be spoiled from here on! I have never been in one of those cabins, nothing higher than 8C, but have heard that they are marvelous! You are going to have such a GREAT time! I have had all different types of cabin, from inside to balcony, and the balconies are definitely worth the extra money, but if I could only afford an inside, I would take the inside rather than stay home! I love to cruise and can hardly wait for one to be over before I start planning the next one! I guarantee you and your DW will be the same way! Will it just be the two of you? Or are you planning to travel with children? Friends?
