Crown & Anchor - Can I sign up now and get credit for past cruises?

Hi,

This is my first post on the board. Been browsing for the last week when I discovered cruise critic. Found a lot of interesting info on the board.

I am a past cruiser with RCCL, 3 times now, the first when I was 14. I have never signed up for C&A, but if I do so now can I link my past 3 cruises to the account (so I am 2 away from the next level up?). I know that none of the 3 cruises have been booked by myself, but my name should be in the database as cruising, correct? Anyone else try to do this, seeing the first cruise was about 7 years ago? Thanks.

I am not sure if the one when you are 14 can count. But for sure the ones you took when you were 18 and older will count. Call and see about the 1st as well.

Should I sign up online at rccl.com or just do it all over the phone? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yes, you can get credit for cruises even if you were 14. Both my kids have been cruising since they were 8 & 10 and are now Diamond Members at the ripe old age of 18 & 21. We joined late but received credit for all past cruises just by providing the portfolio number. Even if you can't find it, if you know the departure date and ship name, you can usually get credit. Have fun!

It is my understanding that if you are over 18 you will be credited for all cruises, including the one when you were 14. Nowadays they do not credit kids under 18 but once you hit 18 you will get credit for all those cruises. I guess I was lucky, when I was a kid they credited those cruises with no waiting! Guess they changed the rule. But yes, they will go back and see how many times you cruised before and give you that many credits.

Great! I just signed up online and inputted my last cruise info. Once my membership # comes in I will give them a call and make sure the previous cruises are credited. Thanks!

We called RCCL C&A 800 number and they did a search of our names and found all our past cruises, also they searched my DW maiden name and she also got credit for a cruise in 1988 that she traveled on with her parents.
