Car Rental in Skagway

Hi All,

 

I know from reading the various threads that many of you have rented cars in Skagway. What I'd like to know is: If we're renting from Avis, how far is it from the port to the car rental office? And what is the easiest way to get there?

it is only 10-15 min walk from dock the town. Skagway is a town of 800 residents, only a few blocks in either directions. Walk will be the best way to get there (I don't think you need any other alternative transportation to get to the rental office:))

Our ship was at the very end of the dock, so when we got to the front of the dock we got on a local shuttle that was waiting there. On the return trip we just walked as we realized it was not very far.
