Call me sad but.......Grand Princess 30th Aug

Hi Folks,

Call me sad , but I had the chance to stop of and see the Grand sail out of South Queensferry tonight so I took it, as this is a tender port the ship is some way of out in the River Forth, however it was nice to see her even if its only a few days since I was on board.

However when all the tenders had gone one came back with a sick person onboard, an ambulance came with its lights on etc,

any one know what happened, appeared to be loads of ships staff about.

same thing happened on my cruise but at Dublin.

Hi Shogun, I was on your cruise, so what happened in Dublin? Other than the ship was really late into port, I was unaware of anything else happening. We enjoyed our cruise and the people we met but we had one of the cabins with the toilet flushing problems, and it happened every day at some point or another... pj

Hi pj-atsea,

Do you recall the young man in the wheel chair, whouse legs were protected by air filled plastic bags , sorry can not recallcorrect namefor them.

Just before we sailed out of Dublin, an ambulance arrived and the young man and all his stuff was loaded on to it.

Ships doctor was there.

As to the loos, I heard that part of Dolphin deck had a problem, did hear captain telling folk not to throw stuff down them.

All it takes is on fool on a ship and loos start to block up. Was on a small boat once the sign read if you need to flush it then put it in the bag as we do not flush onboard. Did not dare lift lid on the big black bag at the side of the tiny loo.

Hi Shogun, I recall a young man in a wheelchair but don't think there were any special things around his legs. The one I am thinking of was with his mother. But I know there were several people in wheelchairs on board.Yes we were on the Dolphin deck- cabin D514... They gave us some story in the beginning ( like as soon as we got in our cabin) about someone's underwear going in the toilet. But surely that didn't happen everyday, morning and night. One time I can believe but not as many times as it happened. Sometimes it didn't flush when you pushed the button but would flush maybe 15 minutes later... Weird... pj
