fl4us2 Posted October 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2004 Has anyone taken the train trip shore excursion that follows the canal from east to west? What is your opinion and what is the cost?
hermang Posted October 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2004 DO NOT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY - We were not able to get the Dome car $138pp but managed to score 4 seats in the regular train for $116. Our tour guide was fantastic. They sold Panamanian coffeemon the way back ( after offering free samples) My wife who is bothered by reflux was able to drink the coffee without sugar very little cream - and I drnk it black - only sorry I only bought one pound. It is an Organically grown blend. AGAIN - DO NOT MISS THIS SHORE EXCURSION - IF WE EVER GO BACK WE ARE GOING TO TRY FOR THE DOME CAR.
Gusto1 Posted October 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2004 I did this excursion last Christmas and it was excellent. Splurge for the dome car, as the panaoramic views are lovely and well worth the extra @$25.00. Hopefully you will get to see a ship in the lock, but there is no guarantee.
