willow572 Posted May 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2009 Hi We are sailing with MSC Opera to Black Sea in Sept and currently have a cat 5 inside cabin. It's an extra £162 total to upgrade to a Cat 6 cabin which is outside but has a restricted view. Is it worth the money? All I really want is to see what the weather's like when I get up and also get a bit of daylight so you don't have to rely on electric lights all the time. Has anyone been in one of these cabins? I can't decide if it's worth the extra or not. Thanks
UF_Cruiser Posted May 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2009 We were on the Orchestra at the end of March....and felt the restricted view was well worth the $$. There was about 30 sqfeet more space then a regular inside cabin and the light was invaluable. Not sure if the cabins are the same on the Opera or not. cruzinmom Posted May 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 18, 2009 :) On the Orchestra we had a obstructed ocean view. We thought it was nice to have the extra space and light. We were able to see out about half the window, but some you just see the life boat.
