BONNYWEED

Well, since most of your response is directed at me and what I have shared

I would like to respond.

I'm actually offended

I share with you my reality and you feel the need

to say its over the top.

One day my reality could be yours. Karma does happen

Groping..have you had that happen? when someone who speaks English

as their 3rd or 4th language has the POWER to MAKE you stand

spread eagle while they pat down the inside of your legs up to your

crotch? and all around your breast and linger for a tad to long?

How does that make you or your travel companion feel?

How do you feel when 2 men in a foreign country bring you into a room

and close the door behind you. Scared ? Nervous?

YOU think thats humorous? What kind of person are you?

Amiss in the translation?

What part should I clarify for you?

Were you in the Frankfurt airport in the last 4 weeks when every single woman on April 16th between 10am-1pm

and then again May 8th from 2pm-5pm wearing an underwire bra set off the alarm? each of us was pulled aside and patted down.

Have you tried to obtain medicine in a pharmacy when the writing is in cyrillic and English isn't spoken and

you have severe diarrhea for 18 days straight and desperatly need help? and your just in case medicine has already been used up?

You have to then ask yourself..I need this medicine..but what if it isn't

really what it is labeled...the country you are in has had the problem frequently in the past.

Perhaps because I travel internationally alot this is my experience.

This year Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria - 10 flight segments

Last year Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro -7 flight segments

Scan/Russia side trip to Latvia and Lithuania 8 flight segments

not to mention all of my cruises over the years

SFO is my airport and every time I'm further searched...

by a woman whether its domestic or international.

But as you say ~ your average domestic travel schmo

needs to ask themselves this....

Have I built in enough time into my schedule if the TSA person wants to determine if this is a vitamin or vicodin. a pepcid ac or percocet.

a missed flight can wreck havoc on your travel plans

I share my experiences so others can be aware and have an ounce of prevention.

if it happens to me, it can happen to anyone.

You can rest assured that I have suffered my share of maladies and likely will have many to come. I feel fine about my karma and find humor in most things. The topic is whether or not cruisers in general need to bring prescription bottles or original containers for their medicines. You feel very strongly that such containers are required and you have had experiences of body searches which troubled you. My own practice is to just jumble everything together for domestic travel.

We are different. That's ok. There is something about your choice of language and graphic descriptions which I find humorous. I think it is over the top to suggest that the average person traveling with non-controlled substances is going to be subject to the "spread eagle" back room searches you describe. I have made my point and clarified it. Unless something new comes up I think I've said all I wanted to say on the topic.

Instead of bitching, ballyhooing and bellyaching as we are all want to do on the threads, why doesn't everyone just comply with what is required of them to comply with existing regulations (in the case of your homeland) or to minimize any adverse affects while travelling to other nations where there is an element of doubt?

 DUH! It's simple when you abide by regulations or minimize affect, it's a damn sight less headache and considerably less time consuming giving you sooooo much more time to enjoy your vacation.

Ciao for now!!!
