How to get to Passion Island?

My family and I will be taking a cruise in August. One of the first stops is Cozumel, and I'd love to go to Passion Island. Since we'll have our 20 month old son with us, getting to Passion Island by small speedboat is not an option. How else can we get there? I've read reviews on CC and TripAdvisor, which have mentioned private companies charging as much as $75pp, which sounds ridiculous to me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
